COPE'S/GRAY TREE FROG
​Hyla chrysoscelis-Hyla versicolor coomplex

They have bumpy skin that  gives them a warty appearance. May be gray, green, light greenish-gray, brown or  dark brown. Irregular dark markings on their back, except in lighter colored specimens where these markings are usually absent. All specimens have a white spot under the eyes and a white belly. Inside of hind legs is bright yellow with dark markings. 

Length: 1 ½ - 2 inches

Cope’s tree frogs tend to be smaller than the Gray tree frog. They are also more frequently green than grey. Cope’s tree frogs occur in Northwestern,  Western, Southeastern and Eastern Counties, The Gray tree frog occurs in Northeastern, Eastern, Southern and Central counties.
