BLANCHARD'S CRICKET FROG
Acris crepitans blanchardi

This is a small, warty frog that may be tan, green, brown, or Olive-green. Irregular dark bands on the inside of each thigh. Typically will have a triangular marking between the eyes, although this may be absent in some specimens.

Length: ¾ -1 inch

When disturbed they will swim away, only to rapidly return a few feet away. This is to avoid predators in the water.

Occurs statewide. Endangered in  Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
